Regular Season Round 18: Buducnost - Igokea 111-77

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked MontenegrinBuducnost as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Buducnost smashed 5th ranked Bosnian Igokea in Podgorica 111-77 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Igokea. They outrebounded Igokea 37-23 including 22 on the defensive glass. Buducnost looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Igokea helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American point guard McKinley Wright IV (182-1998, college: Colorado) who scored 22 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The other American import point guard Yogi Ferrell (183-1993, college: Indiana) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Terrell Carter II (208-1996, college: Fresno St.) who recorded 17 points and Serbian Dragan Milosavljevic (198-1989) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively. Five Buducnost and four Igokea players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Buducnost (16-2) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Partizan. Defending Bosnian champion Igokea keeps the fifth place with seven games lost.
